The crispy battered fish, whether cod or haddock, steals the show, consistently receiving praise for its flavor and texture. Portion sizes are noteworthy, ensuring you leave satisfied without breaking the bank, as prices hover between £1 to £10. Many visitors appreciate the homemade tartare sauce that accompanies the fish, offering a delightful twist that enhances the meal. Most Disliked

Some visitors mention the occasional queue, which can be a hassle during peak hours. While the wait may be inconvenient, many agree it is well worth it for the food quality. A few patrons have noted that the restaurant only accepts cash, which can be an issue for those without it on hand. The limited dining space might not accommodate larger groups comfortably. As for the menu, while the offerings are extensive, a few customers expressed a desire for more diverse options, especially vegetarian fare. However, the main focus remains on the classic fish and chips, and that’s where the establishment excels.

Such a great chip shop. Everything freshly cooked. Prepare to queue due to popularity but it is well worth the wait. Portions are really good, the fish is lovely and a good size. Staff are friendly and welcoming. Well worth a visit. A+

Absolutely the best fish and chips, with homemade tartare sauce! The owner is passionate about I his business, and had time to chat with us while he was freshly preparing our meal. The portion was generous and it was the tastiest we have had for very many years. Easy to access from the canal so great for you if you are boating. I Highly recommend!
